Bear Canyon lake is a great little lake located north of the rim road. Turn left off of SR 260 at top of Mogollon rim onto FS 300 (rim road) and proceed west for about 15 miles (dirt) to turn off to right to Bear Canyon lake. This lake also has some Grayling in it, but they are rough to catch.
Bear Canyon Lake is a lake built by Arizona Game and Fish Department for angler recreation. The facilities are maintained by Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest division of the USDA Forest Service.
