WARNING!, the images attached to this post are shocking, but this is a serious safety issue that must be addressed. ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION WHILE FISHING. I have always worn prescription lenses and have been hit in the head, chest, back, and shoulders by rebounding lures after a hookset, or flies on the false cast, but never envisioned a fish hook in the eye. Nearly everyone wears sunglasses during the day, but how many of you who don't wear prescription lenses wear clear safety glasses after sundown? Not many right? Here is the risk taken by all who don't wear eye protection at all times while fishing. PLEASE, wear eye protection or risk horrible injury.
