| On September 24th, while fishing for channel cats using frozen squid for bait, I hooked what had to be a big flathead on my channel cat rig, a Rhino Kevlar medium heavy rod with a BPS MCM2000 baitcast reel and 17 pound test line. I couldn't turn the fish and barely slowed it down before it tangled me in a snag and broke off. Wish that ole flattie had taken the live sunfish I had on my flathead rig about 20 feet away from the channel cat bait! |
